Rictoshi :Hi, I am Rictoshi, the chief designer of CoolMining. I am from Singapore. I have been actively investing in crypto since 2017 and started my own mining business.

Our team are a group of early BTC adopters with backgrounds in BTC mining, solidity development and graphic design. Sharing a common faith in the Proof-of-Work and witnessing the evolvement of Dapps over the years, we are inspired to combine these two exciting innovations and create a decentralized game so that all individuals are able to participate in BTC mining.

主持人:What is the gameplay and mechanism?

Rictoshi :There are currently two ways to enjoy CoolMining.


  • Staking through mining pool. Put CoolHash, the hashrate token, into the mining pool to “connect” to the BTC network and start earning BTC rewards.

  • Mining using miner NFTs. Players need to collect miner accessories first to customize miners. The miners help to accelerate mining by adding hashrate bonus, which will translate into higher BTC rewards for players.

All of our gaming mechanism is realized on-chain through smart contracts that are audited by Certik.

主持人:What are the utilities of your mystery boxes and NFTs?

Rictoshi :Our mystery boxes include CoolPart NFTs, which are essentially miner accessories that can be used to customize a miner. There are two types of mystery boxes, Essential Hash Parts and Elective Hash Parts.

Essential Hash Parts contain only hash boards while Elective Hash Parts include control board, power supply unit and cooling system. Players would need at least one hash board and at most four non-duplicated components, one from each type to mint a miner. 主持人:Why can you give out BTC rewards? Where does it come from?

Rictoshi :We are using real world hashrate to back the hash power in our ecosystem. Majority of our hashrate comes from industry-leading mining sites located in North America, Russia and Central Asia.

For Phase one, we have secured 100 PH/s hashrate to support the 10,000,000 CoolHash we distribute. Every 10 minutes, these real world hashrate are generating BTC as block rewards, which will be distributed to players. To ensure a stable and continuous BTC rewards delivery, we have excess hash power in reserve in case of extreme events.

Rictoshi :There will be 2 tokens circulating in the ecosystem, CoolHash and CoolGas.

CoolHash, aka COOHA, is the hashrate token. 1 CoolHash = 0.01TH/s hashrate. Players can use CoolHash to stake for BTC rewards or purchase mystery boxes and customize thier own miners. Also, it is the governance token for the CoolMining community.

CoolGas, aka COOGA, is the utility token. Players need CoolGas to boot the miners. At the same time, players recieve CoolGas as mining rewards besides BTC rewards.

生态系统中将有 2 个代币流通,CoolHash 和 CoolGas。

主持人:What will your roadmap look like in 2022?

Rictoshi :Now we have all our smart contracts audited and private beta testing in progress.

We plan to officially launch the game by late Feb or early Mar.

We are currently developing the miner hosting gameplay, hopefully in Q2.

Besides, we are considering deploy the game on other chains as well.

As the ecosystem grows, we are looking to partner with other major miners and add more hash power into CoolMining.

主持人:Why did you choose to deploy on KCC and why launch on?

Rictoshi :First of all, our team has been working closely with the KuCoin Pool.

Besides, with Axie running on Ronin, Farmers World on Wax, DeFi Kingdom on Harmony, all of which to ensure a smooth gaming experience with negligible transaction fees, we agree with this experience-first thesis and consider KCC a decent chain to deploy.

Apart from the low fees, KCC has the infrastructures established such as the DEX and the launchpad. And we really love the idea of community chain, which represents the spirit of the decentralization.

Rictoshi :Like I mentioned, there are two tokens in our ecosystem. COOHA and COOGA.

Players can use COOHA to buy miner NFTs to accelerate mining. Essentially it is exchange hashrate token into accelerated miners to boost BTC rewards. Our miner NFTs can boost hashrate up to 1.5x.

As for COOGA, players will need COOGA to pay for the energy cost needed to keep the miners up and running. Besides, players can earn COOGA as network rewards as well.

Rictoshi :CoolMining is created with the intention to empower all individuals to participate in POW mining when they want to. Thus, if the ecosystem flourishes, we aim to bring on board more of our mining friends in real life to issue more hashrate tokens, since all our hashrate tokens are backed by real world hash power.

We are inspired to break current dilemma of centralization of hashrate and inherit Satoshi’s ambition to let Bitcoin be decentralized again.

Rictoshi :Players buy COOHA to participate in our game. With COOHA, you can either stake COOHA straight away into the staking pool to earn BTC or use COOHA to buy miner NFTs to accelerate mining, both of which reward players with actual BTC as rewards. Thus, depending on the price of COOHA you buy and constantly changing BTC price, it is hard to give an exact payback period.

主持人:We all know that the Gamefi track is very hot, what is the biggest advantage compared to Coolmining and other Gamefi?

Rictoshi :CoolMining is the first project that is backed by real-world assets. All of the hashrate in game is backed by real world hashrate.

Holding COOHA is akin to holding BTC. We reward players with real BTC. As long as BTC network is live, our reward distribution system will not stop.

Rictoshi :We have recently seen a very multi-chain game to become a “one wave”. What games and measures do COOLMINING to keep the life cycle of the game?

Unlike any other gamefi prjects, we give out BTC rewards. Instead of worrying about reward token depreciate caused by players farm-and-dump, BTC is always there. The consensus behind BTC is what made blockchain space so flourishing today.

Besides, we are constantly innovating. For instance, we will soon launch our miner NFT gameplay so that players can accelerate mining via miner NFTs. The miners hosting gameplay is also under development. This continuous updates in CoolMining ecosystem will hopefully keep the ecosystem vibrant and attract more people on board.
