As the rapid development of computer hardware, software and the use of database technology, Computer systems in all walks of life are widely used. Database is widely used, such as banking, aviation industry, universities, credit card transactions, telecommunications, financial services, marketing, manufacturing and human resources, and so on. Database has become the basic component in almost all enterprises. From theory and practice, both in terms of an analysis of a train ticketing system design and implementation, this article does a more in-depth study of database system. In this paper, the knowledge used in the system is introduced detailedly at first. Meanwhile it analyses the features of the PowerBuilder and how to use it, which is the development tool for the system. Then it analyzes the feasibility of the train ticketing system. Then the system design, system design objectives and the overall structure are clearly planned. Finally, it makes detailed explanations of the main pages, database, application design and implementation.
The train ticketing system is using PowerBuilder to achieve in windows. Its main functions: View vehicles and ticket information, ticket sales and refunds, change vehicles and ticket information, etc.
